Sarah Lewis

Sarah started as Chief Executive of Langley Park Learning Trust in January 2021. Before joining Langley, Sarah worked in central and local government education services for over 16 years. Immediately prior to joining the Trust, she was a Director at the Department for Education, where she led on early years and teaching regulation amongst other responsibilities. Sarah lives locally and volunteers at weekends with a local charity. Sarah is the Accounting Officer for the Trust and has overall executive responsibility for the schools and the work of the central team within the Trust.

Tamasine Barrett
Director of HR

Tamasine has worked at Langley Park Learning Trust since its formation in September 2018. Prior to this, Tamasine worked in the private sector for a large media organisation, then subsequently worked in two of the Trust schools from 2013, before joining the Trust central services in 2018. As Director of HR Tamasine leads, develops and manages the HR service provision across all the Trust schools and she is an associate member of the CIPD.Tamasine lives locally with her husband and teenage children who attend nearby secondary schools.

Leyla Abdulle
Director of Finance

Leyla has worked in various roles starting her career in commercial roles in the private and industry sector.  Subsequently she has worked in CLIC Sargent a leading cancer charity for children and young people, Enara Group a VC backed Private Equity firm specializing in acquisitions of care homes that provide domiciliary care to the elderly and individuals who have learning and physical disabilities and mental health conditions and then a higher education research institute linked to promoting the education of individuals from Central Asian and African countries so that they could become future teachers and education providers of their communities.   She is a fellow and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2004. Leyla joined Langley Park Learning Trust in 2019 as Finance Director and provides advice on strategic financial issues, is responsible for financial management, compliance, and reporting. She is married with four children and serves as a Primary school governor. 

Jen Chalmers
Jennifer Chalmers
Head of Payroll 

Jennifer started working at Langley Park School for Girls in 1998, working in many financial roles until implementing and running in-house payroll from 2005. Jennifer then moved across to the central team when it was formed in September 2018 to project manage the transfer of the five schools in the Trust to a new payroll system. Jennifer now oversees and processes the monthly pay and pension obligations, along with training and supporting the payroll managers in the schools. Jennifer is married with two sons.

Finance Manager
Laura joined LPLT in June 2021. In the role of Finance Manager, she assists the Finance Director and works closely with the Finance teams in the Primary and Secondary schools being their first point of contact. Before joining the Trust, she covered many financial roles but mostly worked as Finance Manager for Momentum Services Ltd, the company that employs the crew and provides the service on board the Eurostar trains and in the fast-food industry at the Great American Bagel Factory in London, which had shops in both England and Scotland. She moved from Italy in 2000 and now lives locally with her husband and two children. She has two big passions, photography and running.

Rachael Cooper
HR Administrator

Rachael joined LPLT in 2019 following a career break to look after her children. Prior to this, she worked in the private sector for 15 years, building her HR experience in the Finance, Refuse and Oil and Gas sectors. In her role as HR Administrator, Rachael supports the Director of HR with all aspects of the development and effective operation of the human resources function within the Trust. Rachael lives locally and is married with two young sons.

Layla Power
Finance Assistant

Layla joined LPLT as Finance Assistant in March 2020. She worked as Finance Officer in the Vehicle Repair & Maintenance Industry for five years prior to this and is currently working towards her AAT Accounting Qualifications. Layla is responsible for day to day central Trust accounts preparation which includes bank reconciliation and supplier payments specific for central Trust as well as recharge costs across the MAT.  Layla also assists the Director of Finance with financial management of the Trust and backs our schools to address any queries and support required. Layla lives locally with her partner and two children.

Donna Allen
Projects & Admin Lead


Donna joined LPLT in June 2021 having worked in education for over 10 years across primary and secondary schools and as part of the central team at another local MAT. Prior to the birth of her now teenage son Donna worked in Advertising, Design and Media companies. Donna manages the LPLT website and supports the CEO and Directors across communications, projects, governance and admissions.

Caroline Davies
Governance Lead

Caroline has worked in a variety of roles within the NHS and Education. Caroline’s substantive role leads on educational governance in two Local Authorities. Having been a governor and chair, she fully understands the demands and responsibilities faced by Boards today. As governance lead Caroline works as a key interface between the Executive Team and Trustees to ensure that Trustee governance of the Trust is efficiently and effectively managed in accordance with external regulatory compliance obligations and internal constitutional and administrative procedures of the Trust
